ICICI Securities view on SSWL
For Q2FY27, growth was above expectations. During the quarter, a key operational observation is the positive variance between value growth and volume growth which demonstrates a systematic transition toward high realization products. Along with this the quarter saw a 69% export revenue growth. This resulted in higher EBITDA per wheel reaching ~₹400/unit. Overall steel wheels and alloy wheels production also saw an increase in capacity utilizationl, according to ICICI Securities.
Overall, the brokerage firm has a positive view on SSWL due to its powertrain agnostic product profile (no EV risk), healthy volume growth visibility, increasing share of exports & alloy wheel in the overall sales mix, and the consequent rise in margins & return ratios. However, ICICI Securities said it awaits management commentary on export sales ramp-up and margin stabilization.
